Ever since its founding in 1888, the name Pago has stood for the concept of ??liquid fruit. Austrian brothers Jakob and Franz Pagitz started out with apple and currant varieties. In 1949, they combined the first three letters of their surname ("Pag") and the first letter of the German word for fruit ("o" for Obst) so as to form the company name Pago. From Austria, the green glass bottle with the yellow label and red font then went on to also conquer the international catering trade. Since 2013, Pago has belonged to specialist fruit juice brand Eckes Granini.
In Germany, Pago fruit juices are distributed by GEBAS, among others. No wonder - because GEBAS very much supports Pago's pure fruit concept.
